X-ray panoramic photos – a pantomogram of teeth
A panoramic x-ray photo – pantomgraphic is the primary diagnostic photo in dentistry. It is often used screening – due to a small dose of radiation and a high diagnostic value. It allows the detection of inflammatory outbreaks and lesions within the jaw bone already at the stage before symptoms are felt to the patient. Thanks to this, it is possible to start dental treatment early and less interference with the patient's body. In our clinic we have a modern Vatech PAX-i3D digital panoramic camera, so that the dose of X-ray needed to take a photo is reduced to an absolute minimum and is comparable to the radiation that is every day from the environment. Panoramic x-ray photos are taken to our patients from the following indications:
We also take panoramic photos for patients outside our office. We release the result of the study digitally on a CD, pendrive media or send to the patient's email box. According to Polish law, in order to take a photo of pantomgraphic x-rays, it is necessary to refer a dentist from the doctor. In the absence of such a referral, we can take a panoramic photo only after an earlier dental consultation combined with an overview of the result of the photo with the patient.
