Porcelain Crowns – Porcelain-lic
Metal-rolled porcelain crowns are constant prosthetic additions to rebuild the shape and function of the destroyed tooth even if it is no longer possible to standard tooth reconstruction by filling. The crown is glued to the tooth permanently and complements its missing tissues. In our office we offer
all-ceramic crowns e-max, zirconia crowns and crowns faced with porcelain – all these types of crowns allow you to achieve an excellent aesthetic and functional effect. What is the course of treatment? Here is a simplified scheme of the procedure:
- First visit: after qualifying the tooth for a prosthetic crown, the dentist proceeds to grind the selected tooth. The grinding procedure is carried out in local anesthesia and is completely painless. The dentist then draws the squeezes and refers them to the prosthetic laboratory. The visit ends with the execution of the interim crown, which provides aesthetic appearance and functionality until the finished prosthetic crown is cemented.
- Second visit: after fitting and checking the finished prosthetic crown, the doctor cements the crown permanently in the patient's mouth. Once the crown is cemented, it is permanently glued in the patient's mouth and looks as natural as your own tooth.
Faqs:
- What are the indications for the execution of crowns? – an indication for tooth crowning is a large destruction of tooth tissues, reconstruction of a dead tooth after root canal treatment or unsatisfactory aesthetic appearance of the tooth that cannot be improved by other, less invasive methods.
- What is the difference between a veneered crown and an all-ceramic crown – the difference between these two types of crowns lies in the material used to make them. Porcelain-lic crowns consist of a metal cap, which is burned by layers of porcelain of different translucent and color. Full ceramic crowns are made entirely of porcelain and have the best possible aesthetic effect, as there is no need to block a dark layer of metal, as in porcelain crowns.
